How to Make a Coconut Oil Hair Conditioner

Coconut oil is one of the most deeply moisturizing oils available. Though its name suggests a liquid consistency, coconut oil is actually a solid white substance. Due to its highly hydrating properties, coconut oil is a great ingredient to use in a hair conditioner. A coconut oil hair conditioner is the ideal nourishment for dry hair that desperately needs some nourishment.

Things You'll Need

• Coconut oil
• Sweet almond oil
• Rose concrete
• Plastic mixing bowl
• Spatula
• Electric mixer

Place 2 tbsp. of coconut oil in a plastic mixing bowl. Using a spatula, begin kneading the solid oil until it begins to soften slightly into a thick, creamy texture.

Add 1 tbsp. of sweet almond oil into the plastic bowl. Continue stirring until the coconut oil and almond oil have blended together.

Add a pea-sized amount of the rose concrete to the mixture. A concrete is an ingredient that gives beauty products a pleasant color and spreadable texture. Use the back of your spoon to break up the rose concrete to make it easier to blend.

Place the electric mixer on low and gently beat the mixture for about 5 minutes. You should have a creamy, frothy paste when you're done.

To use, coat your hair from roots to tips with the coconut oil hair conditioner. Allow the conditioner to saturate your locks for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off.
